What Do Women (and Men!) Want?

what do women want?

It may be a first date or it may be a long-term relationship, but whatever the goal, young women and men have clearly stated what the “must-haves” are – at least when it comes to initial attractiveness.

Recently a survey was done of over 5,000 single adults, and the most interesting part of the survey involved what others are judged on. The results differed for men and women, with women ranking their date’s clothing (58%) over hair (53%), and vice versa for men (51% for hair vs. 45% for clothes).

Fortunately, at the bottom of the list, only 9% judge others on the electronic device they carry. And towards the top for both sexes came grammar – so watch what you say!!

But least surprising (to us anyway) was the fact that the number one thing both sexes look at when sizing up their dates are…..teeth!

According to one very wise survey participant, “Taking care of your teeth is a good indicator of hygiene.” How true!

Anthropologist Helen Fisher, a professor at Rutgers University, agrees. She says “From a Darwinian perspective, good teeth are a real indication of your health – how much you drink, smoke, and what you’re eating.” Even more so, yellow, stained, uneven and otherwise unsightly teeth can leave a first impression that is hard to overturn.

Whether you are single, married, dating, or not interested – a healthy attractive smile says so much about you. That’s why regular preventive dental care is one of the most important things you can do for your appearance and physical well-being.

At Oakwood Family Dentists, we care about you and your smile! If you have any concerns about the appearance of your teeth or your dental health in general, we are here for you! Will My Dental Visit Hurt and How Much Will it Cost?

At Oakwood Family Dentists we get all kinds of questions, and two that we often hear are:

Will it hurt?”

…and

How much will it cost?”

dentist in dearborn how much will it cost

Dr.Faith Aboona & Anita our Office Manager 🙂

Have you ever asked those questions? Well, we would like to share with you the answers to both of those questions and we think the answers will make you happy.

Will it Hurt?

Unlike the old days, modern dental care is easy, quick and typically pain- free.

Current dental anesthetics are extremely effective and do an excellent job. We take extra care to make sure that you are comfortably numb before starting any procedure.

If at any time you are feeling any discomfort, please let us know so that we may stop what we are doing and make sure that you are having the best dental experience possible. These days, dental appointments should be totally stress-free.

How much will it cost?

There is no question about it – quality health care can be a sizeable investment. But there is no better investment than your own health.

Whether you are seeing us for your continuing care hygiene appointment or an entire smile makeover, we want to make sure that you are comfortable with the financial aspect of dentistry and that your investment is comfortable for you.

Even though we use the highest quality materials and most advanced techniques, at Oakwood Family Dentists we are dedicated to keeping our fees reasonable.

We are happy to discuss the best financial options for you. We will always make sure that you understand everything before we start any treatment in order to take the stress out of the cost of dental care.

Also, we will work closely with you and your insurance to help you maximize your benefits, and should you choose, we offer a variety of payment options such as 12 month interest free financing.

When it comes to all aspects of your dental care, at Oakwood Family Dentists, Drs. Goldstein, Jaffe and Aboona and their team are truly dedicated to your comfort.

If you have any questions or concerns about your dental health and treatment options, please feel free to call us 313-945-8900. We are ready to help!
